The Refrigerated Air Dryer is a compressed air purification equipment that removes moisture based on the principle of refrigeration. It cools the compressed air, which contains a large amount of saturated water vapor from the upstream pipeline network, causing most of the vapor to condense into liquid water droplets. These droplets are then removed through air-water separation, producing dry compressed air that meets the demands of most industrial applications. Unlike adsorption dryers, refrigerated dryers can also remove a portion of oil mist from the compressed air during the dehumidification process. Additionally, they have less stringent requirements for pre-treatment of compressed air compared to adsorption dryers. Due to their reliable operation, ease of management, and low operating costs, refrigerated dryers have become the preferred purification equipment in air compressor stations across various industries.

Explosive-Proof Refrigerated Dryer Working Principle:

The refrigerated dryer operates on the principle of freezing dehumidification, utilizing a fully enclosed compression-type refrigeration system to cool the compressed gas discharged by the air compressor. During this process, a significant amount of saturated water vapor and oil mist condense into liquid droplets. These are then separated via air-water separation and discharged by an automatic drain valve. The high-temperature saturated compressed gas first enters the pre-cooler of the dryer, where it exchanges heat with the dry, cold gas from the evaporator, thereby lowering its temperature. It then enters the evaporator of the refrigeration system for a second heat exchange with the refrigerant, cooling it to a temperature close to the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant. Through these two cooling stages, the water vapor in the compressed gas condenses into liquid water. This water, carried by the gas flow, enters the air-water separator, where the separated liquid water is expelled from the unit by the automatic drain. The cooled, dry compressed gas then returns to the pre-cooler, exchanging heat with the incoming wet saturated gas, which raises its own temperature. Consequently, the dryer outlet delivers dry compressed gas with low moisture content (i.e., a low dew point) and very low relative humidity. Owing to their reliable operation, ease of management, and low operating costs, refrigerated dryers are the preferred choice for purification equipment in air compressor stations across various industries.
